How to Set Up and Configure Your Email

Use these settings to set up your Succeed.Net email.

BEFORE YOU START

Some older email programs do not support modern security and will not work with Succeed.Net email.

Examples include Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, Eudora, and Microsoft Outlook versions earlier than 2021.

If you are using one of these programs, you will need to install a newer email program before setting up your email.

STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR EMAIL TYPE

When setting up your email, your device may ask you to choose between IMAP or POP3.

IMAP (Recommended)
IMAP keeps your email stored safely on the server so you can see the same messages on all your devices. For example, if you read an email on your phone, it will also show as read on your computer. Most customers should choose IMAP.

POP3
POP3 downloads your email to one device and usually removes it from the server. This is an older method and is usually only recommended if you check email from one device.

STEP 2: INCOMING MAIL SETTINGS (Receiving Email)

If you choose IMAP, use these settings:

Incoming mail server: mail.succeed.net
Username: Your full email address
Password: Your email password
Port: 993
Security / Encryption: SSL or SSL/TLS

If you choose POP3, use these settings:

Incoming mail server: mail.succeed.net
Username: Your full email address
Password: Your email password
Port: 995
Security / Encryption: SSL or SSL/TLS

STEP 3: OUTGOING MAIL SETTINGS (Sending Email)

Use these settings whether you choose IMAP or POP3.

Outgoing mail server: mail.succeed.net
Username: Your full email address
Password: Your email password
Port: 587
Authentication: Required

Encryption type:

Mac / Apple devices: TLS or SSL
Windows devices: STARTTLS
Android devices: STARTTLS or TLS

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR APPLE DEVICES

On Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, or Mac), the outgoing mail settings may show the username and password as optional. They are required.

Make sure you enter your full email address and your email password in the outgoing mail settings.
